GMC Preflight
Before you submit to Google Merchant Center

The preflight check for your online store.

We walk through your store against everything Google looks at and tell you what still needs doing, with the evidence attached. A fixed checklist, two independent measurements, and a go or no-go.

Free, no account needed. You get a score, the number of blocking items per section, and one item fully worked out. Version 1 checks stores on Shopify. Other platforms follow.

24hours to your verdict

104checks per store

We helped those stores with the playbook this check is built on. That same playbook is now in the handbook, and the check runs it for you.

What you get
01

A fixed checklist

104 items, assigned to your store at its first check and frozen there. Every item gets an outcome. Nothing is skipped, and nothing appears later that should have been there the first time.

02

Two independent measurements

We measure your core pages twice, from a different profile and a different route. Where the two disagree, we do not report a blocker. A false alarm costs you more than a missed item.

03

Evidence with every finding

A screenshot, the exact quote, the page it came from, why Google looks at it, and the steps to fix it. Then a re-check that shows what is resolved and what is still open.

What your report looks like

Per point the evidence, and what to do

Not a list of ticks. Every point carries the literal quote from your own page, where it sits, why Google looks at it and the steps to clear it. Below is one point, exactly as it will appear in your report.

  • At the top the verdict: ready to submit, or not yet
  • Below it all 104 points, including the ones that are fine
  • Per point a screenshot and the quote, with its source
  • One recheck included, showing what has been resolved

A countdown timer appears on the site

This offer expires in 02:14:57https://examplestore.com/products/voorbeeld
Why Google looks at this

A clock that restarts every time promises a deadline that does not exist. This is a direct reason for rejection.

How to fix it

Remove the countdown from your sections, or remove the app that places it.

How it works
  1. You enter your store address and answer six questions about market, stage and business form.
  2. You pay 99. Your store enters the queue and you see exactly when each step is completed.
  3. Within 24 hours the report is in your account. You work through the items and tick them off.
  4. You start the re-check, which shows per item: resolved, still open, or appeared after your first check.
Our method

A fixed list, like in the cockpit

Before every flight a pilot works through the same numbered list, in the same order, and skips nothing. This check works the same way. Your store is assigned a fixed version of the list at its first paid check, and every re-check runs on exactly that version. Rules we add later do not apply retroactively.

Every item gets an outcome

There is no such thing as a skipped item. If we cannot measure something, it says so, with the reason and with what you can check yourself. That is the only way to stop something appearing at a re-check that should have been there the first time.

Two measurements, not one

We measure your core pages twice, from a different profile and a different route. Where the two measurements disagree we do not report a blocker, because then we are not certain ourselves. A false alarm costs you work on something that was not broken, and that is more expensive than a missed item.

The promise on the re-check

If your re-check turns up something we should have seen the first time, that re-check is free and we fix the item for you.

Where stores get stuck

These are the areas where we find blocking issues. The number is how many checks in that area can hold up your submission.

Frequently asked questions

Does this guarantee approval?

No, and nobody can. We give a verdict on your store, Google decides on your account. What we do promise: every issue we report comes with evidence, and the list is worked through in full.

I was already rejected. Is this still useful?

Especially then. A rejection rarely names the exact issue, only the category. We work through the whole list and show what falls under it, so you are not guessing on your next submission.

How fast do I get the verdict?

Within 24 hours, usually sooner. With priority, within 2 hours.

What if I would rather fix it myself?

Then buy the handbook. It contains the same playbook our check runs, written out so you can work through it by hand.
